4th of July

Happy 4th of July to Everyone!!!

We're moving right along in the nursery! We got some stickers up and finished the curtains and got some animal photo pictures hung. Only thing left is a chest of drawers, for the many clothes Jr. already seems to have. The chest will be graciously donated by Grandpa Ken and Grandma Diana (by the way, Grandpa Ken also made the beautiful crib and changing table for his first grandchild Miss Emma!) Poor George just doesn't yet realize the whole room is not for him...

25 weeks and GROWING!!! (sometimes I swear he's perpendicular to my body because the size change from day to day is just strange, this was a "big" day!) Otherwise feeling pretty good luckily. I have a lot of trouble getting comfortable to sleep so I have good nights and bad. But the fun thing is we can really feel him from the outside now. Last night he really freaked Nate out, but I told him it was just a high five! I plan on working all the way through, though I will probably need some help with my few cleaning gigs soon. After that I'm pretty sure its worked out for me to come back here where I am now 3 days (Mon-Wed) and clean a few houses on the side. Nate gets Daddy duty on his day off Tuesdays so we just have to find a sitter for Monday and Wednesdays:( I'm happy its working out this way but still sad to have 3 whole days without him, though I'm very sure I will enjoy the dress up/grown up time!

New Patio

Just the front of the house, inbetween blooms of the snapdragons and flowers in the railing boxes right now. (Yes, that is the return of porch pool. Pregnant lady with no AC greatly appreciates it too!) The second picuture is the side bed, our next (and hopefully last) project of the summer!

Nate has been wanting a patio out back and I've been wanting to make some of the back of the house look a lot neater so it was time for some work. With little money and a LOT of sweat we have a new back patio! It was about 95 degrees that day (I was sweating just watching, which is about all I was allowed to do) but Nate and our neighbor got it almost finished in a day. Its a quick concrete poured into molds to look like stone. Some before and after pictures are below. The mess around the outside and in the back yard are just areas of grass seed we're anxiously waiting to grow.

Its a BOY!!!

Well....... its a little Nate JR in there! And I do mean that in all ways that I can. We have been blessed with a very healthy baby boy (and healthy mom!) measuring up to the expected due date of Oct 16th. He truly is a little Swanson too as twice now he was named so: at the Dr's last week when they couldn't find the heartbeat for a while and he deemed him a "trickster", and today with the movements and stuff he was doing, the nurse called him a "jokester"..... just what I need, another one!

Here are some pictures, I hope you can see them ok. Nate was somehow amazing at picking everything out while I basically found the hands and feet until she pointed stuff out (and then I got about half of it!) He had his fists up a lot and was doing some waving at us. The one picture there is 3D, she did a little of that for us at the end too.

And now I don't have any excuses to be growing as large and wide as I am, but here's the family at 19 weeks!

Sorry, we do have to keep a few things to ourselves. We won't be telling any names; we have some ideas and want to get a few more. And to be honest, I'm not sure we'll know for sure till we meet our sweet thing in person and see just who he may look like. But rest assured, while it will be original, it will not be anything weird or crazy!

The beginning

We should start from the beginning.... 10/2/04 Our wedding day...

After living in VA/DC we moved up to Harrisburg and shortly after finally purchased our first (and possibly last) house in October of 2006 which we have put a lot of love into!

This was after our first project (taking up the carpet) see, we still have smiles!

We've taken a few trips (though the trips dwindled since the home renovations started) but mostly we really enjoy the holidays in our OWN house with our families!

Christmas 2008

and of course having a yard!!
