Settling in
We FINALLY got to move in! This was their first night, melts my heart. They spent the last few months sharing a room at my mom's that neither wanted to sleep by themselves. This only lasted one night but it sure was cute!
Did some tree trimming, they look normal now!
One of Nate's outdoor projects!
Something they both love doing:)
The house is coming along nicely. The kids are getting unpacked and settled in. It's fun decorating but a bit of a challenge fitting in all in there! Way too much stuff:)
Our beautiful plant from Kris and Wendy!
After 12 years we also got new living room furniture, we love how it all came together!
Myrtle Beach 2017
We were very happy for a break after a full week of hard labor. We all deserved a vacation after the craziness of the summer so far. This year, with Great Grandma Nancy living at the house we were graciously put up at at beach front hotel. It was quite nice to wake up to this view each morning!
And have a pool and lazy river RIGHT there!
Early morning shell searching
Wonder Works! They always wanted to go to the upside down house, never thought they were quite old enough but they sure enjoyed it now!
The annual Build a Bear trip, this year was the Pokemon year!
Couldn't wait for the cousins to arrive to go swimming!
Myrtle Beach State Park
Back at the hotel for a dance party!
They were runners up in the water balloon toss, and very proud of it:)
Date night!
Birthday party time!
Evening/Night beaching!
Mini Golf night
The water was great to swim. It was waist high far far out so they could really get beyond the waves and "swim" over/under/through them. They could have stayed out there all day (almost did!)
Rides at Broadway
Our last evening there, after Nate headed to UT and the kids and I to Grandma's house she took us to this awesome new playground. Unfortunately it was closed for maintenance lol! So we went to this one and got ice cream instead:)
Then fed the turtles and ducks
On our way home we stopped in Richmond to see some of our favorite family!
These were nails by Blake
And lego time with Scott!
One last stop on our LONG journey home (horrible weather, 7 hours from Richmond!) was a stop at Ikea. It's truly amazing I fit lots of new stuff (including new table and chairs and storage bins) in an already packed vaca van! It was good there was no front passenger or it wouldn't have worked!
