And it's a wrap

This is best stated with a FB post I made a few weeks before the end of school.   I'm very sad to be leaving SLAC and am so thankful for our years there!

"Today I got a message from Aliyah’s 2nd grade teacher asking for the details to Aliyah’s piano recital tonight to see if she might be able to come watch her. This is in no way a school related function. Schooling decisions are never easy for parents, we all make our own decisions based on our own family’s needs. I won’t say we’ve not caught subtle and not so subtle slack for choosing to not only attend, but move within the same Title 1 public school district. But I have NO doubt it was the right decision so far for us. I couldn’t have possibly picked a better 5 teachers to have lead my kids through their first 3 years. While Max has moved on already, I am very heavy hearted to be counting down the last few weeks here with Aliyah. These teachers and staff don’t have it easy, but they do a great job teaching; and the love they have for these kids is truly amazing (and so needed by many of these students- way more than the learning part). We will truly miss this school, but don’t be surprised if you see me next year on a Friday afternoon with a bag of books to read!"

This is exactly how I feel, in the blink of an eye it's over...

Last day of  2nd and 3rd grades

This expresses them exactly, one happy and one sad!
