Ah, the wooden house!

Another wonderful trip to the time share in VA.  We're forever grateful to Grandma and Aunt Ellie for providing this for us, what a wonderful vacation spot for the kids to grow up at and it truly is their absolute FAVORITE place.  They talk about it all year long!

This year started off with a bang as usual.  After a lecture on the way to the pool/fountain about how Aliyah fell and had to go to the ER last year, not 5 minutes in did Max take a huge spill, scratched up both knees, foot and elbow  After some consoling we got him into the pool thinking it would help the cuts feel better.  It looks like it worked!  And we were happy for a supposed rainy day turning beautiful!

The little girl gets blue so fast, and hungry of course...

While Max skipped the fountains the rest of the trip, she still enjoyed them!

In his "injured" state, he was taking it easy on the baby swing;)

But not too hurt for a quick few holes of mini golf with mom, he's getting pretty good!
He likes water traps, since there aren't any built into the course, he took advantage of the puddles to make his own holes up.

Not long after the spill at the pool, it was Aliyah's turn for an accident...

Only moments before she FELL in.  Luckily it was warm, it scared her more than anything.  I took her back right away for a shower and few band aids and nap and she was good to go.

Fun that they're getting old enough for the activities.

Friday then the rain came.  We took a trip into Charlottesville and hit up the mall.

I was determined to have a picnic, usually it's too hot to be outside long when we're there in July, this time it was wet and cool that day but we braved it to have our picnic.

Then it started to clear up.  Since it was still too cool to swim, we hit the lake.

Daddy and Max did some fishing.

Aliyah got "dizzy" in the paddle boat so we went flower picking instead.

Saturday morning we were in no rush to leave.  We hit the stables looking forward to riding Wendy when they told us they'd be riding Penny, the big horse.  To our surprise Max wasn't scared and hopped right on!

Aliyah was hesitant but after seeing Max survive she gave it a try.

Annual chasing of the chickens.

We decided to walk back while Nate took the car back and started loading up.  We did find Wendy and stopped to say hi!

We checked out and hit the pool and playground before we left.  It was another beautiful day and we didn't want to miss out.

Picnic lunch before heading to our 2nd favorite place.

Next stop, Luke and Emma's!  Having some fun on their neighbor's trampoline.

And a water fight!
  Some more pool time.

 Surfin

Nothing better to look at than lego books!

Story time with their favorite "Aunt Ellie" book before bed.

Max learning how to ride his new scooter.

Cheating!

The boys hitting up the pond.

While the girls had a dance party:)

Another great VA vaca.  We look forward to the wooden house each summer and we're so grateful the kids have it to go to.
