We really enjoyed a mild Fall and loved the extra outdoor time. For us it was a busy time. We have big plans to sell our house and my mom's house. We would like to find something that either has, or that we can renovate space into an in-law's suite. My mom is ready to downsize and get rid of steps and we're looking for a little more outdoor/off street space if we can. We did some major clean out and listed our house for about 6 weeks in the Fall. While we had several people through, we received no offers so just before Thanksgiving we took it off the market so we could relax and decorate for the holidays. We're working on some easy updating and will try again in early Spring.
There was literally NO break this year between soccer and basketball. The kids are both on the same team again and for the first time in 3 years we have a great coach so I'm happy to get to sit a season out:).
Aliyah was a chicken for her Barnyard Fall concert
Max made me take the obligatory "playing in the leaves" photos.
The school PTO did a skating night. Max wasn't feeling well but I took Aliyah. She had never gone, and I hadn't gone in 20 years (and was never good when I did go) but I was impressed with both of us. It was actually fun!
Thanksgiving was a bit off this year but luckily our family is so great it didn't matter. Since I have so much stuff packed away we had no good plates or even glasses to use. In fact, gravy was served out of a glass measuring cup (gravy boat packed away). It was still full of family, amazing food and always a good time!
First things first, making the name tags.
My Wildwood explorers.... we took an EXTRA long hike around the lake. I didn't realize it was 3 miles around and started to worry as the sun started moving down but my troopers made it!
We had a beautiful day at the DC Zoo. Usually we go in summer so it was sort of nice not to be sweating buckets this time!
I can't get it to rotate, but school pictures!
