I was supposed to be a trip down south, camping along the way and then visiting my dad and Nate's GA crew. Unfortunately the pandemic is bad down there and we didn't want to risk bringing it to anyone, or bringing it home for anyone so we had to postpone. But we made the most of it and had a wonderful socially distant camping week adventure!
We started out back on the Swatara for the 4th of July. Despite loosing my phone in the creek on the "rapids" (luckily we still had my mom's which I ran home to get) and Aliyah's quick trip to urgent care cause she fell hard on her hip, we had a great time! It was hot but we kept cool in the water.
Waiting for the fireworks!
Then we headed to the Chesapeake Bay and had an amazing time camping right on the beach at Cherrystone Campground
Love being able to cook inside too, especially when people are hungry and we're still setting up!
Can't beat this spot!
This is the view from my bed!
For whatever reason the middle 2 nights we were there we had NO one around us even though the campground was pretty full:)
This is them, ALL day on the beach or in the water!
Little ice cream and then head on home! It was relaxing, easy (kids could just go over to the beach by themselves), safe cause we weren't close to people and we had wonderful weather. Loved camping for a week, especially in such a beautiful place!
