Birthday Party

Sunday before Kris and Wendy had to go home we had Aliyah Dedicated at church.

Then afterwards we had Max's birthday party. It was a beautiful day (unlike last year) and it was so nice to have everyone come and be together!

First some lunch.

Aunt Wendy's George cake!

He just wanted to touch it!

Lots of play time with the cousins! I'd love to know what he did to her!!!

"Open" time.

Everyone wanted to see what was in Great Grandma Nancy's cool bag!

I love this picture, can you tell they're related?!?!

After mostly everyone left we got some quieter play time with Aunt Julie!

And of course an Aunt Ellie photo shoot:

Birthday Weekend #1

Since Uncle Kris and Aunt Wendy got in to PA the weekend before they were heading out to Harrisburg we decided to take a trip in to see them.

First stop was mom-mom Paul's with the whole Paul family for lunch.

Uncle Kris meets Aliyah. Aunt Wendy meets Aliyah.
Happy #1

After having an awesome dinner at Wendy's parents (where I specifically asked for a "happy" break, at least from cake, he did get gifts and balloons!:) we went to Grandpa Ken and Grandma Diana's for more "happy". And yes, he is dipping his finger in the icing.

Its not a party till your pants come off....(coincidentally as luckily only Aunt Julie and crew would know his pants came off at his official birthday party the next weekend too. Its due to finally dragging him away for a clean diaper and him refusing to hold still long enough to put his pants back on - and mom being too tired after partying to fight it!).
More cars!

"Open" was the key word for this birthday. Before he could unwrap the next gift he needed the one he just did opened!

This was his gift from mom and dad. It was an awesome yard sale find from a friend/fellow yard sale buddy (I had everyone on the look out!). Its pretty cute but loud so its a basement toy!

Its actually a restaurant kitchen and this is like a drive through piece which he clearly doesn't understand (I guess we get a few thumbs up for not taking him through drive throughs too often!).

There were some more pictures taken but Aunt Wendy and Aunt Julie I'm hoping to see sometime so we may have to add a few.

Visit with Kris and Wendy

Its nice to have out of town visitors because its like taking a vacation at home! We sure had "bun" with Kiss and Wenney as they are now called!

What a great visit we had. Max was so excited to play with them and both the kids were really good through all the activity of the week.

You have to find something to entertain them quietly when you go out to eat....
We went to Paulus Farm. We went there last year too with some friends from church but its a great place, Max could have spent all day there. It was a little chilly and I knew I'd have her in the back pack so we bundled her up and poor thing just looked too cute...

Tractor heaven!

Playing in the corn with Uncle Kris.

He loved the wagon!

This was a pretty neat corn maze.

Saturday we went to Lake Tobias. It is a great hidden gem in the back lands of south central PA!

He was scared of the Zebra but not the lion....

They have a safari ride. It was really neat, got a little long for a 2 year old but he loved all the animals of course.

The deer climbed up into the bus!

Time for Aunt Wendy to make the George cake!

He kept busy and out of the way though...
