We're so happy Grandma made her way up for a short visit. We had a fun day painting candle holders, going to Hershey Chocolate World and having a picnic bon-fire. She also helped pick pumpkins the day before and played in the corn maze.

10!!!
Double Digits!!! Can't believe our baby boy is 10 years old!! Already nearing size 14 in clothes and catching up to mom in height. He's having his best year ever at school and really enjoyed soccer again this fall. He loves his video games but still has the wonderful imagination to play with legos and pokemon. He's come through a lot of anxiety issues with flying colors and is just suck a funny guy, like his daddy:) We sure love you buddy!
This was dinner the night before at Buffalo Wild Wings and gifts in the am. Aliyah made him that box with drawers for his pokemon cards:)
Then, since Nate was away and Aliyah and I had scouts he had fill ins who took him to McDonald's and watched friends play soccer. SO thankful for friends who are like family!
The next weekend he had his party at the arcade. What a fun, great group of crazy boys:)
Girl's Weekend!!!
We talk about it longingly and finally, since the kids are older and husbands are more then capable we did it!! Tiff, Jill and I spent an amazing weekend away, relaxing, eating good food, and shopping. It happened to be my birthday weekend as well so as much as I missed the fam, it was a wonderful way to spend a birthday with some of the best friends you could ask for! Hope we can do it again!

After outlet shopping on the way down, had a nice dinner in Dewey
Then with a slow start to the morning ended up here, my happy place:)
At first we cherished any of this we could get but it definitely warmed up later!

VA Bound
Unfortunately Nate got sick at the very last minute but the kids and I had a wonderful trip to VA in October. The weather was oddly warm but beautiful and we're so thankful for the VA crew for hosting us!
One good thing about no Nate was we all fit in the van! We had a wonderful outing at the Farmers Market, Maymont Park for a wonderful (yet hot!) hike and a little tour of the city.
Always fun to have time with the bigs, they are wonderful babysitters!
They even took the kids back to the church gym Sunday and out for ice cream:)
