Kris and Wendy and 4th of July

What an exciting few days with Uncle Kris and Aunt Wendy.  It's never long enough but we enjoy our time while we can and hope for a visit out there next year.

Getting right to work in the kitchen helping Aunt Wendy bake some muffins.

Checking out the boats on the river

We took a day trip into DC.  First stop was Arlington Cemetery to watch the changing of the guards.  The kids didn't quite get it and were a little hot and tired by the end but it's the beginning of driving in a point they'll soon learn to appreciate.

Waiting for the metro into the city, Max's favorite part of the day!

We walked around the Air and Space Museum and then came back.  It was a crowded hot day, need to come back again in the fall!

Saturday Uncle Jim and Aunt Brenda had their 4th of July party.  We bring travel pools to keep the kids cool on a very hot day!

Max got to play baseball on a "real" field!

With Aliyah cheering him on:)

And then rides from Brian in the gator!

On Sunday we said our goodbyes to Uncle Kris and Aunt Wendy shortly before we took off for the church bike parade.

Aliyah is doing a dance class Tuesday evenings in July at the township building with her friend Grace.   They don't let us in the class yet but we can watch on the last day.  I'm very anxious to see what she's learning, she doesn't remember much when we ask which I think is pretty normal for a 3 year old.

Hershey Park Day

We love our annual Comcast free Hershey Park day.  We had beautiful weather and headed out after soccer practice.  There are so many kid rides, we all really had fun and didn't have to wait too long for most things.  The kids are better at waiting than I am.  We walked through the water park this year and decided we'll bring suits next year too.  There is way more than there used to be and Max had a blast standing in the "splash zone" from the flume ride.  He was soaked but it felt good on a warm day.

Max was excited to drive the race car!
