Farm fun

We have a super sweet family at church who was kind enough to give us a full "tour" of their farm.  It was a beautiful day and the kids just loved the "hands on".

Halloween/Fall Fun

We finally got to the pumpkin patch, met some friends there and had a fun (but very windy) day!

Max just wanted a simple pumpkin but somehow my lack of good carving skills made him very creepy!!

Halloween!  Princess Elsa and a Storm Trooper!

Trick or treating with our Chmil friends!

School parade

Florida

Sooo.... October 9th we wake up the birthday boy, let him open his presents in our bed like we usually do and then have a BIG surprise for the kiddos.  Instead of his request for his birthday dinner to be at Red Robin I told him instead we'd be eating at a restaurant called Bricks, which just happens to be in his dream vacation spot of LEGOLAND!  They were blown away!  Max was anxious to fly on the plane but once I told him we weren't crossing an ocean he was better.  They grabbed their stuff and we were off.  This was a huge relief because it was touch and go if we'd make it due to the hurricane that just went through.

He was still a bit nervous (and the ear plugs we bought him for on the way back worked SO well) and there was a bit of wind on the take off but once we were up and going we were good.

Arriving at the best hotel in the world!  LegoLand and the hotel far exceeded our expectations.  It was clean, staff very friendly, legos and characters everywhere.

Once we got to the room there was a scavenger hunt and treasure once you cracked the code to the chest!

Kids part of room, own TV, bunk beds with lights and cards on there to "certify" the room was monster free (like this place we specifically designed for Max!)

Our part by the window, own TV and pirate bed!

Photo bombed sneaking a drink by a wench!

So nice, even when we'd be done eating at the restaurant right next to the lobby the kids would run to play while we finished.

The concierge had a pocket full of baseball cards he randomly shared with the kids, they were proud to show mom-mom their new collection!

And, the pool was awesome!  Had these big rubber bricks that floated and you could build with.  Never ending fun!

I don't think a birthday dinner will ever beat this one!

Monday morning we got up and headed to the park (right next door).  It was amazing!  Not crowded at all, beautiful weather, no lines, amazing exhibits and lego displays, fun rides and good shopping of course:).

If you did have to wait in line, each line had a lego table that the kids could play at while parents held their spot, just perfect!

It was on a lake and there was a really cool live pirate show.

Aliyah LOVED Heartlake city, especially the lego friends show and dance party.

The kids and Nate LOVED this ride, they went on it twice and were completely soaked.  Luckily it was towards the end and I had dry shirts for the kids.  They had so much fun shooting water and getting wet.

The best part about the hotel was the elevator.  Once the doors closed the "elevator" music and normal lighting shut off and it turned into a disco party.  The kids knew about this from videos they watched but it was even better in real life:).

DISNEY!!!!  While we knew there would be some extra traffic because of Columbus Day and the Food Fest at Epcot.... what we now learned is that when there has been bad weather in the previous days it makes the resorts extra crowded.  Also coupled with some of the eastern coast of FL still shut down from the hurricane.  It was PACKED.  The staff was very unprepared, line ques were off and everything.  We really did enjoy the magi, but the crowds were NOT fun to deal with.

First day was Hollywood Studios.  Of course anything Star Wars is a hit for us!

Disney Junior Lunch

The Frozen Sing Along was one of the best attractions at the whole park!

Time to check in!  All Star Movies- Toy Story Block.

Rarely seen footage of "the eyebrow"

Day 2 at Disney- Magic Kingdom (Nate overheard the staff say it was the most crowded day they had had all year lol! We made the best of it)

First stop was playground at the hotel on the way out:)

Jungle Cruise

Boys went off to do some race stuff and muppets...

The girls waited 1 1/2 hours (line said 20 mins) to meet some princesses (worth it, I think?)

Dancin in the street parade

Bear Country Jamboree, horrifying lol!

Best lunch at the resort, with all our friends!

Riding the monorail

Aliyah went back to go on Small World with me:)

Disney Day 3 Animal Kingdom

 Safari ride was very cool!

New stuffies:)

Aliyah found out her favorite animal is true! Okapi (more giraffe than zebra)

The Lion King show was awesome!

Lunch with some of our favorite explorers!

His Mickey Ears ice cream:)

Pool dance contest, we got free candy!

Mom made a mistake about where to find a light show so we ended up at Disney Springs.  We also found out the Halloween party was several hundred dollars.  I brought consumes for "just in case" so we let them where them there and wandered the stores a bit.

Lego store AT Disney

Day 4 Disney- Epcot

As close to the real thing as you can get, lunch in Germany!

Aliyah danced with me:)

Living Seas and Aquarium was one of their favorites!

Waiting to meet Anna and Else

How they felt after 4 days in parks, pooped!

Frozen ride was cute

Really cool A Capella band, she's getting down!

Goodbye Woodie and Buz

Aliyah never had her mickey ear ice cream, so it's whats for breakfast on the last day:)

My movie stars!  A whole week of parks, some warm weather and massive crowds and they did AWESOME!

And we're done....

But not totally, got back to long term lot and battery was dead, lol!  It was a quick fix and we were happy to get home.  What an amazing experience and so many great memories for a once in a lifetime trip!  We are blessed!
