Max had his first Fall concert at school. They did a great job, we really like the music teacher.
Aliyah had been bugging me for weeks about having a birthday party for her cat Figaro. I just kind of brushed it off until I realized she was really serious and wanted to do this. Last minute we had 3 friends able to come join us, get all dressed up, have a snack, make a craft and do some dancing. She's crazy but they had a blast (and I'm sure Figaro enjoyed the party as well!)
We did explain she had to ease up on the list a little, not the best way to start a party...
She wanted me to decorate the house, I told her we'd get the party stuff out and do her room instead so that's why most events took place in there.
Making their cat masks.
When it got too cramped in her room and I didn't want the living room destroyed, we decided dance party was the way to go!
Even Max had fun. He was a little concerned it was all girls but it was all his good friends too and the hype was too much for him to miss this!
After Thanksgiving we had out last trip to the Brown's house in Northern VA. Josh got an amazing promotion and they made a move to Atlanta. We're really happy for them but we're REALLY going to miss them being so close. I personally love northern VA and the whole DC area of course but it's so fun to have them only a few hours away and get to visit a lot. We're really going to miss them!
Got to go see a Bearenstein Bear's show while we were down there. It was a bit awkward but kids enjoyed it!
Aliyah insisted I make this. One of her mom's (who has way too much time on her hands) made this for snack for her twins in Aliyah's class. Explaining it took a lot but we finally did it. It's a mini heart sandwich with peanut butter and rainbow sprinkles...
There was a sign up come around for winter Basketball for Max's school. I figured since they can't get outside much and Max seemed interested we'd sign up. He was truly the only one who had no clue how to even dribble on the first day, but in the weeks he's been doing this, he's so greatly improved. For a kid that is scared of EVERYTHING, his willingness to go try new things like this without a notice or care in the world of anyone else's skill level truly warms my heart and makes me proud!
