It was well over a year later but we were finally able to honor my mom and share the gospel just as she would have wanted. We had a very nice service a church with friends and family. She had already planned the songs and readings. Aliyah and Michelle sang while Max played the drums to I'll Fly Away. Pastor Steve gave a message and I (Karen) shared. At the lunch following everyone was able to share too and it was nice to hear some fun memories or stories. Then, my mom's favorite thing was having our reunion weekends and we definitely had a lot of fun together enjoying the perfect weather and way too much food! It was bitter sweet but just what she would have wanted.
